It’s time to get your run on in Orting at the Foothills Dash held Saturday, March 9th, 2013. The Foothills Dash consists of a 1Mile, 5K and 10K fun run to benefit the youth recreation programs. The event will take place on the Foothills Trail and is open to people of all ages and ability levels. The 5K and 10K courses are USATF certified and courses start and finish at the Orting Eagle Lodge. The Foothills Trail is paved and provides flat areas and easy slopes. Registration and fee information are listed below. Check in begins at 7 a.m. at the Orting Eagles Lodge and the race starts at 9 a.m. Awards will be given in separate divisions for females and males for first, second and third place finishers and refreshments will be provided on the day of the race.
Pre-register by February 21 at the Pierce County Parks administrative office in the Lakewood Community Center. Forms must be received by February 21 to be eligible for the $15 pre-registration fee. All forms received after this date will be charged a $20 fee.
T-shirts are available to purchase the day of event while supplies last. Participants who are pre-registered are encouraged to pick up their bib numbers, race bags and t-shirts before race day at the Lakewood Community Center, located at 9112 Lakewood Drive SW, on the following days:
